Thanks! Oh well. I tend to speak my mind. Sometimes things should be left unsaid.

Judging from the importance you place on LOOKING the part, I am assuming your selling all of this to go buy a MasterCraft?
According to the post he has a Mastercraft X80 already. My , the Excursion rocks, but I cannot afford it um......well......ok, I like Burbans better

Nice setup goboatingfl, hope you make your deal. Gas prices will dictate that many will not be wanting an Excursion anytime soon though....

      Good Luck

I missed the X80, that explains it. ;-)

The ford comment is tongue in cheek, but I definitely like the burbans/yukon xls better.

I have a Ford Expedition and love it...

However, it's paid for and with the economy, I don't plan on getting another vehicle. The next vehicle will be a diesel SUV... They are already hard to find.

Hey, now. Not all of us are (as you once said it), wise in the way of the bean. I'll take my F150 over your Chevy any day

We had a Ford Expedition up until a month or so ago and bought a Tahoe 5 passenger. As an empty nesters we don't need more seating. Pulling the 20V I have gotten 17+ and w/o 21 with the Tahor. The Expedition just had to see a pump and it needed to be filled. On the Road towing a lighter boat it got 13. The Expedition (2003) has a soft ride vs. the Tahoe which rides like a real truck. I decided to get rid of the Expedition before the market and it's miles from towong mad it wort very little especially with my silver Jeed at 85,000.

The 24VE is a looker. The truck is all personal opinion.

It is True I am a GM guy, I have made that clear, and much of that due to my heritage. Southern California beaner, which makes you a serious GM guy.

I bought my first Yukon in 1997, and I didn't want to just get it without researching. So I test drove the Fords first, and I did like the looks of the expedition. But when I drove them, for me it was a hands down decision.

2 years ago, when I got my 9 passenger Yukon XL, I also tried the excursion. Same thing for me. So I guess all that to say I am a GM guy by both blood and preference.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The Expedition doesn't do it for me either, but then again, neither does the Yukon or Suburban.

I really like my F-150 Supercrew Lariat. It's super quiet, very comfortable, very versatile and has enough legroom in both rows of seats for 5 of me (I'm a big and tall guy). And, it's been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned (after 107K miles I only had 2 minor electrical problems that were fixed under warranty).

That said, Chevy/GM finally got their act together on the interior of their trucks and I could see myself buying one if it rode like my F-150.

Y, I like the new interior. I have always like the GMC badge better than the bowtie, but not in the newest ones. That bothers me, cuz I have always had GMC, but they are the same unless you get the denali.

My wife drives the yukon, I drive a 2002 GMC Sierra xtra cab, which I love. I just had a 1700 lb warn winch installed in the bed, it is VERY cool. It allows me to safely load and unload ATVs from the back to take them to the shop when needed.

Maybe I'll take some pics of the Herbst truck/boat combo. The Excursion is nice but I see a lot nicer rigs every weekend at the lake. Good luck with the sale.

I'll back you on that one ragboy!!!!!

Some how this started as a 24Ve for sale, now look it's the ole Ford loses to Chevy debate again! j/k

As far as all that other fluff in the Excursion, I just don't get it. Doesn't do anything for me. Maybe I'm just too old. If you don't live in the thing what in the world do you need all of that in there for? I also feel that the truck isn't much of a looker. Boat looks just fine by it's self. Just my opinion.

Anyway, that is one sharp looking boat!!!! Good luck on the sell.

By the way how do you like filling up that X80, twin 8.1's isn't it? That boat is a BEAST!
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

I'm a GM guy through and through, only because i've worked on them all over the past 19 yrs, but I would jump on an Excursion if the right one, at the right price, came along.

He is trying to sell his boat. He offered a Ford Excursion to help the deal along. This isn't about GM vs Ford but his taste of SUV's and pimping it out. No different than putting LED's, high end amps, Wetsounds on the tower, or even a Vision Air Chair.

Good luck with the sale. But I hope I sell mine before you.
